Black Entertainment Television (BET) has announced nominations for the 2015 BET Awards, which will hold on the 28th of June, 2015 at Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, CA. American rapper, Nicki Minaj and R&B singer, Chris Brown led the pack with six nominations. Beyonce and Lil Wayne came in at a close second with four nominations each.

For the category of “Best International Act (Africa)”, top eight artistes in Africa were nominated, namely Sarkodie from Ghana, Fally Ipupa from DR Congo, Wizkid from Nigeria, Stone Bwoy from Ghana, Yemi Alade from Nigeria, AKA from South Africa, Sauti Soul from Kenya & The Soil from South Africa.

Since the introduction of this category to the BET awards, it has mostly been won by Nigerian artistes with D’banj & 2face Idibia winning the award in 2011, Wizkid & Sarkodie in 2012, Ice Prince in 2013 and Davido in 2014.
